When people think about a wedding cake, they usually get an image of a white cake with multiple layers, ornate frosting decorations, and a little bride and groom wedding topper. But that particular wedding topper is increasingly viewed as old fashioned or out of date. If you want a decidedly modern wedding, look into some of the wedding cake toppers that are available nowadays. Far from that single option, these toppers can now range from detailed flowers to monogrammed acrylic panels.
Especially if you’re having a more relaxed or less traditional wedding, it might seem a little peculiar to incorporate traditional wedding staples. But with the right wedding topper, your cake can actually have an elevated level of elegance. And don’t forget to coordinate the wedding topper with the other elements of your wedding. If you use a particular type of flower, for example, use a wedding topper of that flower. Pulling off a contemporary and elegant wedding is about coordinating decorations. These subtle echoes can truly elevate your wedding to something special.
